Injury Lawyer in Orlando, Florida
Attorney Matthew C. Quattrochi is an associate with Horst Law Firm, based in the Central Florida region. He has experience in personal injury law cases, including dog bite lawsuits and general negligence cases, along with personal injury protection (PIP) cases and even homeowner’s association (HOA) law matters.
During his time as an associate with another law firm, Attorney Quattrochi worked his way up to the head of the practice’s PIP division. PIP (personal injury protection) insurance lawsuits are filed in cases where a PIP insurance company refuses to cover or compensate a medical provider for a patient’s services.
Florida law entitles auto accident victims to PIP benefits for the treatment of any injuries suffered in the collision. These cases are unique from many other personal injury claims, as the PIP lawsuit litigation process is more similar to a breach of contract claim versus a tort action such as a bodily injury claim.
Attorney Quattrochi also has significant experience in the area of car accident lawsuits, premises liability cases, and even homeowner’s association (HOA) disputes. His experience is extensive and varied, ranging from drafting litigation-ready motions and orders to tending to complaints and summons, demands, and discovery matters such as RFAs, RTPs, and ROGs.
He also served as the firm’s second chair, tending to a vast range of personal injury litigation matters. His experience also includes drafting and arguing motions for summary judgment in personal injury protection (PIP) matters.
“I’m a ‘numbers guy,” and I thoroughly enjoy scouring billing ledgers and explanation of benefits to ensure that my medical provider patients are paid in accordance with the No Fault Act,” he added.
Prior to earning his law degree, Matthew Quattrochi worked for several years as a corporate paralegal for Cahill, Gordon, and Reindel, a corporate law firm in New York City. During his time as a paralegal, he specialized in real estate law, from real estate financing and title insurance, to closing procedures, collateral management and beyond.
Attorney Matthew C. Quattrochi is a graduate of Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law; he passed the Florida Bar exam shortly thereafter. He also attended Roanoke College, where he earned a B.A. in business administration and marketing.
Attorney Quattrochi serves as the Orlando Chapter Attorney Liaison for the American Constitution Society, a position he has held since 2014. He is also a member of the Young Lawyers Division and the Florida Justice Association.
In 2011, Attorney Quattrochi founded the T.J. Pramer Scholarship Fund with Wilton High School.
He is also an internationally published author on the topic of net neutrality and telecommunications law, published in the City University of Hong Kong’s Journal of Law Tech & Public Policy.
When he’s not in the courtroom, he can be found at sporting events as Attorney Quattrochi describes himself as an avid sports fan and longtime player of lacrosse and basketball. He also has an intense interest in medical sciences and he frequently attends medical presentations to gain new knowledge of health and the human body – information that can be extremely useful in medical malpractice cases, wrongful death lawsuits and personal injury cases.
